Sour Cream Apple Squares

2 c flour
2 c brown sugar
1/2 c butter
1 c chopped nuts
1 or 2 tsp cinnamon
2 c peeled, chopped apples
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 c sour cream
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg


In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and butter. Blend until crumbly, add nuts.
Press 2 3/4 c crumb mixture into ungreased 13x9 pan.
To remaining mixture add:
cinnamon, soda, salt, sour cream, vanilla, and eggs. Blend well.
Stir in apples.
Spoon over base evenly.
Bake @ 350 for 25-30 minutes.
Serve with whipped cream.
