Caramels

2 lbs brown sugar
1 lb butter
2 cans Eagle Brand milk
1 pt white karo syrup

Mix and let stand 2 hours.
Bring to a hard boil.
Boil 20 minutes.
Add 2 tsp vanilla.
Add nuts if desired.
Pour into pans to cool.
